Artificial Intelligence (AI) Usage Statement

This statement explains how ClearSum Accounting Ltd uses external artificial intelligence in its professional work.

We may use approved business-grade artificial intelligence tools, such as ChatGPT Business, to assist with tasks such as drafting, summarising and analysis.

Where necessary, relevant client information may be processed using these tools in accordance with our Privacy Policy, professional confidentiality obligations and appropriate data-protection safeguards. We minimise the information used, restrict access and use a business account configured so that business data is not used to train the provider’s models by default.

All AI-assisted work is reviewed by a suitably qualified person before it is relied upon or shared. We do not use AI to make solely automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on individuals.

Clients may ask us not to use external AI tools for their work by contacting privacy@clearsum.co.uk. We will explain and agree any resulting effect on timing, scope or fees before proceeding.
