Why ClearSum exists

Before starting ClearSum, Harry spent over a decade working in finance, from hands-on accounting roles to Finance Director positions in growing businesses. That experience gave him something most accountants don't have: a commercial perspective on what business owners actually need from their finances.

The same frustration kept coming up at networking events and in conversations with founders. Their accountant never replied. They only heard from them once a year. They had no idea whether their business was performing well or not, and nobody was helping them plan ahead.

ClearSum was built to fix that. A practice where every client gets personal attention, proactive advice and the confidence that comes from knowing their finances are handled properly. No chasing, no surprises, no Sunday-evening tax panics.

Harry and his wife Abi now run ClearSum together. Harry handles the client relationships, advisory and financial strategy, while Abi supports bookkeeping, payroll and the operational side of the practice. It's a genuine partnership, built around the same principle that drives everything ClearSum does: treat every business as if it were their own.
